Wildcard character does not work properly for created entry
The current wildcards are the asterick (*) and question mark (?) characters. These characters are only valid in the username portion of an email address, i.e.:
*@domain.com
test*@domain.com
The Sentinel Messaging platform does not accept a wildcard in the domain portion, i.e.:
*@*.domain.com
*@test*.com
If your filter is set-up with a wildcard entry in the domain portion of your filter, this is a cause of the filter not working properly.
If you have an email filter that is not functioning with a wildcard, check against other filters that may be over-riding this filter.
Note: If the filter is incorrect, the error presented is: ‘Email address “test address” does not seem valid.’
